Jon Harding - FNAEA - Founder
Jonathan Charles Harding entered Estate Agency straight from school, joining a Bournemouth based company with five local offices in 1973. The company, Breamer & Co had two additional offices in Surrey at Morden and Worcester Park where Jonathan completed his training. After five years with Breamer & Co Jonathan decided to set up his own Estate Agency in Old Town, Swindon.
In November 1977, at the age of 21, Jonathan set up Charles Harding Estate Agents in Devizes Road, Old Town. Overseeing the development of Charles Harding has been both fun and at times challenging but Jon now appreciates that the right team are in place to expand the company further.
Mark Reynolds - Director & Partner
Mark is delighted to say that he has been with Charles Harding for the best part of 30 years. In December 1990 he opened our first branch office in Commercial Road, Town Centre, which proved to be a huge success and was able to help firmly establish Charles Harding as one of the leading estate agents in Swindon.
Charles Harding relocated to larger new offices at 8/9 Commercial Road, Town Centre and Mark is actively involved with the day to day running of the office and specialises in the sale and valuation of properties in the Town Centre, Rodbourne, West and East Swindon areas. In addition to this, Mark looks after a huge portfolio of rental properties for many of our landlord clients and is on hand to assist them with any of their investment or sale requirements.
Lee Thrush - Director
Lee has worked in Swindon as an Estate Agent for over 27 years and has been running his own franchise of Charles Harding for the last 13 years.
Born and bred in Swindon, Lee has a great insight into the local area and housing market, he prides himself on giving honest and professional advice and this has been the key to his success throughout the years.
Simon Gunner - Director
Simon is an extremely experienced and driven Estate Agent who has over 25 years experience within the industry. Wanting to offer a truly independent and dedicated service, he became a Director of Charles Harding in 2008, opening the Redhouse Office, which has since become a market leader in North Swindon.
Prior to this, he gained valuable experience having started in 1990 and quickly working his way up through the ranks of a company in Southampton, dealing with a range of property including the New Forest. Promotion to a Senior Branch Manager bought Simon to Swindon in 1999 where he ran a flagship office and won awards both regionally and even Nationally.
Jenny Matin-Branch Manger, Town Centre
As office manager based in the new Commercial Road office, she takes pride in the fact that we can offer a first class personal service in the managing and letting of rental properties. Jenny is responsible for the day to day administration of the branch system and liaising with our many landlords and assisting our tenants with references, tenancy agreements, etc.
Jenny has worked at Charles Harding since 2007 and takes great satisfaction in being able to offer an efficient and friendly service.
Heidi-Jayne George- Senior Sales Negotiator
Heidi joined Charles Harding in 2001 having worked within the Estate Agency industry in both Berkshire and Wiltshire since 1987. Having started off in Commercial Road, Heidi later transferred to working as a sales negotiator in the Old Town Office alongside Jon Harding. Being office based Heidi is responsible for dealing with all aspects of the day to day running of the office.
Elaine Reynolds- Lettings Manager
Elaine opened our lettings department along with Carol Harding in 2005. Elaine had gained valuable experience in the industry having worked for a local letting agent. Elaine's particular skills and duties involve valuing rental properties for both new clients and existing landlords, advising on rent reviews, and carrying out checkouts and inventories.
She takes pride in being part of a team being able to offer a quality service in a friendly and business like manner.
Carol Harding- Accounts
Carol has been involved with Charles Harding since 1984 as an accountant and book keeper. During that time, she has gained valuable experience in dealing with many landlords and tenants alike.
Charles Harding now manage a portfolio of some 600 properties.
Carol is available each day and based in our Town Centre office to discuss and handle any accounting matters.
Dawn Warren- Branch Manager- Gorse Hill
Dawn has been working in the Estate Agency Industry for 17 years, with the last 6 years as a senior negotiator for Charles Harding's Gorse Hill office.
Enthusiastic, professional and friendly, Dawn offers a wide range of skills and experience and is passionate about her work. Dawn is hard working and dedicated and uses her local knowledge and expertise to help our clients acheive the best price for their property and to do everything possible to provide a smooth and successful sale.
George Harding - D.E.A- Sales Negotiator
George has been based in our Old Town office and has been a qualified DEA since 2007. Along with carrying out Energy assessments he has been fully involved with the very active sales market, experiencing inevitable ups and downs of the property market throughout the years he has been with us. George is looking forward to continuing with the success and high quality service Charles Harding has been providing to its customers in Swindon for more than 39 years.
Christy Farr- Senior Sales Negotiator
Christy boasts 15 years' experience and is an invaluable, member of the team, who was vital to the opening of the North Swindon office, and its success ever since. In 2000, she gained her CeMap qualification within the financial industry which gave her the perfect stepping stone to becoming a Sales Negotiator in 2002.
Joining Charles Harding in 2008, Christy boasts strong negotiation skills but is also a strong believer in excellent customer service. Whilst dealing with all aspects of the business, she spends a lot of her time dealing with the sales progression, as this is an important ingredient of any house sale.
Michael Reynolds- Sales Negotiator
Michael joined Charles Harding as an office junior and has since been promoted to a sales negotiator. His responsibilities include valuing, marketing and selling properties. You will often see him out on the roads in one of the liveried Charles Harding cars.
Michael has been brought up and educated in Swindon, at Brookfield school and latterly studying at Bradon Forest. He is always enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoys being busy and the variety of his job role.
Michael also has experience in our property management department and is still involved with liaising with various landlords.
James Griffiths- Sales Negotiator
James initially joined Charles Harding on an apprenticeship scheme and has been employed at Charles Harding for the last 3 Years as a permanent full-time sales negotiator in our Gorse Hill office.
Since joining, James provides support to office members, always polite, professional and courteous, James is often the first point of contact.
Sarah Reynolds- Letting Manager- Gorse Hill
Sarah has been working for Charles Harding within the Gorse Hill office for the last 2 years as a Letting Negotiator. Her role is to assist in the day to day management of the lettings department, covering all aspects.
Enthusiastic, professional and friendly Sarah is passionate and dedicated to her work and is always looking to build a good and successful relationship with our landlords.
Sarah holds a strong Estate Agency background and has a wealth of knowledge of the industry and local area, helping Sarah provide accurate advice to both landlords and potential tenants.
Karen Brealey- Senior Sales Negotiator
Karen has been working at Charles Harding for he last four years and is a key member of the rental team, covering accounts and helping to process the new tenant applications.
Having worked in the Estate Agency industry for 28 years, Karen has gained many skills and experience and is an invaluable member of the Charles Harding Gorse Hill office.
Emma Barratt- Sales Negotiator
Emma has been working is Estate Agency for over 12 years and has a deep rooted connection with North Swindon. Having grown up and attended school in Haydon Wick, she bought her first home in Abbey Meads, and has subsequently lived in Redhouse and Oakhurst, therefore is extremely well placed to offer advice on the immediate area.
She enjoys being part of a busy and successful team and her local knowledge and experience has bought exceptional added value. Emma also understands the importance of the sales process from start to finish and how this role demands effective communications with our customers.
Nicola Packer- Sales Negotiator
Nicola boasts over 13 years in the property industry and became an important member of the growing Charles Harding North Swindon team in 2012. Her previous experience includes 3 years within Property Management, providing her with valuable knowledge in both residential sales and lettings.
Nicola is a 'people person' who enjoys accompanying many of the viewings and making sure there is effective, subsequent feedback. She also prides herself on being able to match the right person to the right home.
Imogene Madsen- Administration
Imogene plays a key role with the team, keeping the office running smoothly with her strong organisational skills. Imogene has a strong association with North Swindon having grown up in Greenmeadow and being educated at Haydon Wick school.
She has lived in Oakhurst for the last 10 years and so is well placed to offer advice on all things locally, She spent several years as a Customer Liaison Advisor which gained her valuable experience and communication skills.
Joining Charles Harding in 2012 having previously been in property lettings for 3 years prior, Imogene is well experienced in the property sector.
Marie Baldwin- Letting Inspector/Adminstrator
Marie joined Charles Harding in April 2016 and oversees all the rental inspections and the day to day management of our rental portfolio which includes liasing with tenants, landlords and maintenance contractors. Marie's main responsibility is to ensure that the rental properties she oversees are kept in order. Her hobbies include being a keen gardener and in her spare time she volunteers at the Step 10-18 Project for young adolescents.
Phoebe Street- Letting Negotiator
Phoebe is a keen and enthusiastic member of staff and takes pride in offering first class customer service. Her role is to carry out the rental viewings and liaise with landlords and tenants with any negotiations in a professional manner. Phoebe joined Charles Harding as an office junior has since proved to be a vital part of the Property Managment Team.
Sarah Sole- Maintenance/ Administrator
Sarah joined the property managment team in Feb 2016 and is a key member of the team. Sarah oversees and deals with with various maintenance issues that occur with the properties and it is her role to liase and correspond with the contractors, tenants and landlords.
